Do I need a Will and a Lasting Power of Attorney?
Most people benefit from both. A Will records your wishes after you die. A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) operates during your lifetime — appointing trusted people to make financial or health decisions on your behalf if you lose capacity. Crucially, an LPA can only be set up while you still have mental capacity, so it's important not to delay.
What's the difference between will writing and estate planning?

Estate planning is broader: it includes your Will, but also LPAs, property and family trusts, and structuring your assets to protect them and minimise inheritance tax.
